Fourth Season of SUP Yoga with Lakes Pace Starts June 2nd!
All scheduled SUP classes with Lakes Pace start this week (June 2nd). If possible, pre-register on-line or send me a text so I know to look for you before class starts. Please arrive 15 minutes ahead of class start to sign waivers and move equipment to the water.What to wear
I usually wear a swimsuit and then layer over it depending on the weather. If you are unsure, wear what you would to jog in for the weather that day. Bring a towel (keep it in the car. It's a good idea to have an extra set of clothes along too).Summer Class Schedule
Class changes/cancellations will be posted on-line & on FB @LakesPace.
*Boot Lake:
Take HWY 10 East from DL toward Frazee.
Turn Right on Eagle Lake Rd.
At SS, turn Left.
Look for sign. Lakes Pace is on the South side of Eagle Lake Rd.
Detroit Lake:
Meet at the Rossman Avenue Boat Landing on West Lake Drive (near the County Fair Grounds & one block West of Zorbaz). Watch FB for notices about changes in location.
Lake 6/7 (this class does not meet every week):
Meet at the access on Lake 7. Lake 7 residents with SUP boards...paddle over! If the wind is stiff from the South, we will hold class on Lake 6 instead. The access is right across the road.
Special Classes/Events:
Sunday June 28 & July 12 = 10:00am SUP yoga with Jeanette at Ella Marie’s (sign up with Jeanette) Classes on Lake 6/7 will be rescheduled on these days.Tuesdays July 7, 14, 21 = 6:00am YogaSculpt class from DLCCC moves to the water! Meet at Roosman Avenue boat launce for SUP yoga (DLCCC members sign up with DLCCC. Not a member? Call Jess.)
Tuesdays July 7, 14, 21 = 5:30pm moves to Roosman Ave on Detroit Lake instead of on Boot Lake for SUP yoga/fitness blended class format (DLCCC members sign up with DLCCC. Not a member? Call Jess or register on-line.)
July 12 = 2:30pm DL Jaycee’s Water Carnival SUP races! Bring your board or rent one from Lakes Pace!

Class Descriptions
SUP YOGA: The workout you have to try this summer!
Classes will start with the basics of standing on the paddle board, safety tips, stance, form, and paddle techniques.
Yoga sequences will be basic to start and will be adapted based on the comfort of the class.
Bring your yoga practice to the water for something different and fun! (Yoga experience is not required). Bring a positive attitude and look forward to trying something new!
SUP FITNESS CLASSES: Break out of your fitness rut!
Classes will start with the basics of standing on the paddle board, safety tips, stance, form, and paddle techniques.
Workouts integrate speed paddling intervals, core work, and yoga on the stand up paddle board. If you like boot-camp-style classes...this is the one for you!
This class is great for building balance, coordination, endurance and body strength! It can benefit competitive and every-day athletes alike. Have fun out on the lake and get a great workout too!

"JUST PADDLE" CLASSES: SUP just to SUP. Not yoga, boot camp or anything fancy...just paddling!
If you are brand-new to SUP (stand up paddling) or if you are just wanting to get out and paddle with a group, this is your chance!
"Just Paddle" is a beginner-level class that will cover basic safety tips and paddling techniques. We will paddle from seated, kneeling and standing.
If there is interest to speed it up, we will "play" with speed intervals to simulate racing.
Bring questions and curiosity...I'll teach you what I know!
Please Note
There is a risk of falling in the lake during paddle board classes. Although the boards are fairly stable, participants may get wet.
Life jackets will be provided for all classes and rentals with the paddle boards.
Please arrive 15 min early to class. Class sizes are limited.
